One family, one bay, since 1988

Karlos started with a single boat and a habit of taking guests wherever the dolphins actually were, rather than wherever the timetable said. Nearly forty years later the boats are bigger, the family is bigger, and the habit has not changed.

We are based at Le Morne, in the south west, and we only run trips we know by heart. When guests want the east or the north, we send them to people we trust rather than pretend it is ours.

The team

Karlos

Karlos

Founder and skipper

Started taking visitors out from Le Morne in 1988, in one boat, with one net and a lot of patience. Still on the water most mornings, still the one who decides when to cut the engine near a pod.

Virginia

Virginia

Karlos's daughter — bookings and guests

The voice at the other end of your email. Virginia grew up on these boats and now runs the bookings, the island lunches and everything that has to happen before you step aboard.

Our skippers

Our main skippers all have more than twenty years at sea. Born and bred by the sea, the South West has no secret for them.

Judex

Judex

Musician, Bénitiers Island

Thirty-six years as a professional musician, alternating between hotel stages and the beach of Bénitiers Island. He loves the relaxed setting, where he can play and talk freely with guests.

Surd

Surd

Sega dancer and waitress

Surd learned sega by watching and practising, and started her career with Karlos. What she loves is showing guests our local dance and watching them master it.
