How we watch dolphins — and what we will not do

Every season more boats come out of Le Morne, and the pods have less quiet water. We cannot control what other operators do, but we can be clear about what we do.

We approach from the side and behind, never head on. We keep the regulation distance. We cut the engine and let the animals decide. If a pod is resting or has young with it, we leave. If three boats are already on a pod, we wait or go elsewhere.
